Please keep our mission workers in your prayers.

On Sunday April 20th, a group of 17 mission workers from the Westmont Presbyterian Church arrived safely in New Orleans. Monday morning the team went to a home on Willow Street to hang drywall.  This is the same home they worked on last November. At around 7 pm they returned to camp very tired and very hungry for Dottie's home cooked dinner.  

Tuesday morning it was off again to Willow Street.  This home is owned by Maria who is a postal worker.  A thankful Maria was suprised to see the progress we made on her home. There is still alot of work to be done before she can move back in.

Debbie and Denny worked on the grounds of the First Presbyterian Church of New Orleans.  After a long hot and humid day all the workers were again looking forward to Dottie's wonderful dinner.

Wednesday we worked with dry wall in two different houses.  The weather is very hot and humid and we had to stop working around 3pm because of the high humidity.  One grateful homeowner came by to check on our progress.  We presented her with two quilts for her eleven year old nephew, who is in the hospital for seizures, and her sister who has cancer. 

We attended a communion church service and they played their organ trumpets.  It was a very beautiful service.

On Thursday, we continued drywalling the Willow Street home.  The weather is hot and humid.  A few of the workers to took time out for sightseeing around New Orleans.

It's Friday and the drywalling is done!  Packing up to come home.  See you in church Sunday morning.
