VBS is back! August 3-7, 2015!! Join us for Hometown Nazareth! Rev. Miller will be leading a video/discussion of Philip Yancey's "The Jesus I Never Knew." We invite people to come and learn more about the Jesus we never knew.
THE SESSION has called a special congregational meeting for Sunday, August 16, following the service of worship. The purpose of the meeting is to hear a report from the Capital Fund Committee, and to seek congregational approval for a loan in order to do necessary repairs to the organ and to certain areas of the church’s physical plant.
CHURCH-WIDE RETREAT - *we are in need of some volunteers!* August 21-23, 2015 will be our highly anticipated Church-wide Retreat "On the Road Again". If you are interested in attending, please be sure to hand in a registration form (available in The Thread and in July bulletin inserts). Payment will be due Monday, August 10th. Aside from the adult study, led by Rev. Miller, there will be weekend VBS "Outback Rock" for the kids, adventure activities (climbing tower, archery tournament, swing line), as well as other activities (karaoke, wiffleball, scavenger hunt, painting) to enjoy. If you aren't interested in sleeping over, it's $15 per person (adventure activities are additional). If you wish to stay in the cabins, it's $50 per person. The weekend will conclude with the annual Pine Springs worship service and Deacons' picnic.
