Personal Pocket Prayer Quilts - Each person worshiping with us this morning is invited to take one of the special personal Pocket Prayer Quilts available in the Narthex, Koinonia Room and in Fellowship Hall following the service, if you haven’t already gotten one. These Pocket Quilts may be used in conjunction with your own prayer/devotional time as suggested on the card attached to it. You may also take quilts for shut-ins or family members who would like to have one. They are also available in the church office during the week.
On March 29, Palm Sunday, the Music Ministry will present “Living Last Words” during the morning service. This work, by Ruth Elaine Schram, will be done with a small orchestral ensemble, and will include several dramatic monologues by actors depicting people present at the Crucifixion. Also that morning, the Children’s Choir will join the Chancel Choir and Handbells in the festive “Hosanna Processional”.
ADULT BIBLE STUDY – This Sunday school class, led by Rev. Miller, continues this Sunday morning at 9 AM. We are studying the Gospel of Matthew. All adults are invited to attend. Previous Bible study experience is not needed for this class. If you missed the study this week, come next week.
Spaghetti Dinner – On Sunday, April 19, 2015 immediately following the service, the deacons will hold a Spaghetti Dinner in Fellowship Hall. Watch the church bulletin for reservation forms next Sunday. Take-out orders will be available. Donations benefit WPC Deacon Outreach Ministries. All are Welcome!
Holy COWs - The Holy Christians Outwardly Witnessing group is for all the younger adults (with or without kids) in their 20s through 50s to get together on a regular basis to just have fun! We’ll begin Friday, April 17th at 7:30 PM with a bowling party at Westmont Lanes. RSVP to Michelle Misner by Friday, April 10th. Something new will pop up every month—some for couples only, some for families.
30-Hour Famine - The annual 30-Hour Famine will take place April 24-25. Parents, please contact Michelle Misner or Danielle Kendig if your child wishes to participate or for more information. This is a lock-in event that begins at 2:00 PM on Friday and ends with a bowling/pizza party at 6:30 PM Saturday. RSVP by Friday, April 17th so we are able to purchase the necessary supplies. This was a great event last year and we can't wait to do it all again!
