The Adult Bible Study Class continues at 9 AM in the Koinonia Room. Rev. Miller will be leading the study on Genesis and Exodus. All adults are invited to attend the study. No prior Bible study experience is needed to attend and to learn. Plan to join us!Redstone Presbytery District 4 Gathering – Westmont will be hosting a Presbytery District 4 education and fellowship event on Sunday, October 11, at 3 p.m. Rev. Miller will be leading the program on “Uppity Presbyterians” who had so much influence during the American War of Independence that some in England called it the “Presbyterian Rebellion". Plan to join us!
Wednesdays at Westmont continues on Wednesday, October 14, at 6:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. We begin with a light supper provided by the Christian Education committee, then Rev. Miller will lead a five-week program called “How Do You Spell Presbyterian?” We’ll look at issues like the Protestant Reformation, predestination, the role of Presbyterians in the American Revolution, and some contemporary issues in the church. All are invited to attend.
Fall Foliage Road Rally – Enjoy some foliage and learn a little bit more about the area on a road rally leaving from the church parking lot at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 17th. The rally will finish at a local restaurant where we’ll review answers to questions asked along the rally and enjoy dinner. The rally is not timed. Annual Trunk-or-Treat/Movie Night - Our favorite fall event is coming! Invite your family and friends and join us for our annual Trunk-or-Treat/Movie Night on Saturday, October 24th 6-8 PM. You’re encouraged to decorate your car trunk and bring treats for the parade—we continue to grow each year, so bring enough for at least 70 kids! At 7 PM, we’ll go inside for hot dogs and popcorn and watch “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!” Free and open to the community!
Special Ministries Pizza Party and Halloween Dance will be held in the church’s Fellowship Hall on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. If you would like to help chaperone the dance or make cookies, please call Lana Custer or Joan Rush. If you know of anyone who would like to attend the dance please extend an invitation to them
